“The locals have been fascinated and it has brought the community something new to talk about and be proud of – it has given everyone the feeling that this town has ‘stepped up’ in terms of technology.”
Owners Gary & Yolanda Atkins of the First National branch say that it has given them the point of difference they were looking for, the office is able to compete with its marketing on a level that was previously the domain of offices based in bigger, more central suburbs. The windows are now more appealing and they are not just grabbing attention because of their modern appearance – they have content that is drawing in and engaging viewers.
The screens, that consist of a touch window and two digital signs, are used to display not only the latest real estate listings and property walk-through videos, they also provide an opportunity to interact with a range of information around the clock. Prospective buyers and passers-by can touch the screens even when the office is closed because the screens are accessible external to the store. This means that if someone wants to email an agent from the screen at 2am, they can! The staff have heard music and sound coming from the windows when they have been working in the back office late at night, so they do know that consumers are taking advantage of this added convenience. Overall, the office team have been delighted with the results and the overwhelmingly positive feedback on how great the windows are looking.
Yolanda comments that she was sceptical at first about the value of feeding weather and finance related content to the screens, but she can now see the power of tapping into people’s common interests beyond just the sales and marketing messages they have to communicate. The screens have become a reference point in the community for news updates and this information is seamlessly blended with other content so that people keep watching as it displays agent profiles and company information, such as sponsorship.
Although the property listings are an important feature of the communication suite, they are part of a bigger picture which is all about delivering communication in a new and exciting manner that connects with an audience on a deeper level. According to Gary & Yolanda, “The screens provide a point of difference that’s popular with both clients (vendors) and buyers, sparking interest and helping initiate conversations, which is all part of leading the way in real estate.“
The signage is also making life easier for staff in terms of operational efficiencies. It has reduced the double handling and mistakes involved in featuring properties because of the automation involved. “The system offers instant updates, meaning that information is more reliable and it is really helping our office save time on top of all the other fantastic benefits,” concludes the owners Gary & Yolanda Atkins – more happy Labyrinth Solutions customers.
